"I've been riding at Sleepy Hollow Farm and Meghan Hamilton Dressage for 5 years. Over the years I've made memories that I'll never forget and life long friendships. Not only is Meghan a great instructor, she is an amazing friend and mentor. She will go out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable, not only while in the saddle but also on a personal level.

I started my riding career at a different location. I had never really been on a horse before but wanted to try out horseback riding. While at my first lesson, I was 12 at the time and remember getting snapped at for putting polo wraps on the wrong way. By the end of my first lesson, I was trotting around aimlessly off the lunge line. That's when I found Sleepy Hollow Farm and fell in love with it. Meghan gave me me a tour of the barn and I signed up for a lesson. I learned more in the first five minutes of my lesson with Meghan than I did throughout my whole lesson at the previous barn. Instead of snapping at rookie riders, Meghan will walk them through steps calmly until they get it correct, and doesn't expect everybody to know everything. She is an outstanding instructor who knows the ins and outs and accepts abilities and comfort zones of all riders.

To me, SHF is like a home away from home. There's really no other place I'd rather be than spending time with the horses and my barn family."

Meghan understood my fears and took me back to the basics by putting me on the lounge line to help me develop better balance. She is very patient and soft spoken

not only with the rider but with the horse as well. Meghan has a way of knowing what training methods work best for her clients by using the lounge line or walking beside you and taking you step by step through a transition. Apollo and I have been on trail rides and now training with Meghan for the dressage ring. She is a remarkable rider, trainer and friend. I do not let my fears hold me back. I am on an incredible journey and have Meghan to thank for that."
