Meghan Hamilton is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist and Major Anders Lindgren grant recipient. She is a professional rider and coach who operates her Riding Inspired dressage program out of Sleepy Hollow Farm in Dartmouth, MA.
As a clinician Meghan also offers many clinics and workshops that often highlight working with the riders biomechanics with a holistic approach. Meghan also has a special affinity for training and breeding the Friesian. With over 32 years in the saddle she is constantly re-investing in her education, has extreme empathic skills that help her understand the needs of her students.
She is a current student of international rider, Olympic Team reserve and Pan Am Gold Medalist Heather Blitz, FL and has ridden in clinics and has completed several RWYM Teacher Training course with Ride With Your Mind international coach Mary Wanless, UK
Meghan began riding as a child at the age of 4 when her parents gave her the first pony. By age 10 she was on her third pony and had already been riding with a Sally Swift Centered Riding® instructor for 6 years. She attended 4H camps, and rode with clinicians in-between practicing on her own at home. As a teenager she spent every spare moment riding or working off lesson, often cycling up to 16 hours a day round trip to local farms.
By age 16 Meghan had earned a breeding fee to a local TB stallion and bred one of her own mares. The result produced her first homebred colt she raised and later competed cross country and competitive hunter paces with.
She later took her horses with her to college at the University of Maine in Orono, where she continued riding and competing at local shows and events in between her studies.
After college Meghan met her husband and moved to MA where she continued to train with clinicians and coaches developing her abilities as a dressage rider, and began to develop her business as an independent instructor.
In 2004 Meghan and her husband purchased their current farm in Dartmouth, MA. Shortly there after Meghan completed her MA Instructors Apprenticeship with FEI rider and coach Danielle Gavriluk, where she trained with Danielle and gained opportunities to ride with Olympic International Rider & FEI “I” Judge Michael Poulin.
Meghan additionally has attended many clinics over the years, always reinvesting in herself and students. She has worked with with Clay Maier long lining, Erica Poseley a RWYM Rider Biomechanics and “Got Seat” specialist. She has attended several Mary Wanless RWYM (Ride With Your Mind) Teacher Training courses, and additionaly ridden in clinics with Mary Wanless. Meghan is currently a student of International Rider, Olympic Team Reserve and Pan Am Gold Medalist Heather Blitz, FL.
Meghan was a US Dressage Foundation: Major Anders Lindgren Grant recipient, and has earned both her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals.
